Car park - There is no dedicated car park at the venue. We used the Carlton Street car park, from here it is easy to find the arts centre. There are plenty of disability parking bays and parking is free for all for the first 2 hours. There is also disabled badge parking at a nearby library, however that is a small car park.

Outside paths - The paths are flat with either large paving slabs or pavement.

Entrance and access - There are 2 automatic doors leadng to the reception and shop area. The floors throughout the venue are smooth and flat, allowing easy movement for wheelchairs. The open plan layout allows you to keep track of one's location, therefore there is minimal signage.

Exhibitions - we enjoyed 2 exhibitions, These shows have now finished but as we really enjoyed them we wanted to mention them in this blogg. The first exhibition we viewed was 'I'm Sorry' by Annabel McCourt. Her work was inspired by the artist's experience of loss. This exhibition was set in the St John's Church part of the arts centre, which provided a dramatic setting. The second one was 'Brilliant People Like Us', created by two groups of artists with additional needs. It showcased a vibrant and varied collection of works.

Signage - this was present but not intrusive. The open plan layout of the arts centre allows good orientation of oneself within the space.

Cafe - there is seating indoors and outside under a large canopy, among some sculptures. Ordering is at the counter inside, with the cafe providing the usual cafe fare of hot and cold food and drinks.

Toilets - there is a well equipped, large disabled access toilet.

Noise - mainly only chatter of other people at the venue. Some exhibits also produced noise, but there were no loud, disturbing noises.
