Car Park - large, tarmacked car park with many disability spaces.

Pathways - around the animal enclosures it is mainly concrete. There are some gravelled areas and paths. The park is situated on a gentle slope, this is a consideration for manual wheelchair users.

The animals - the park got zoo status in 2019 and has gathered an interesting collection of animals. There is evidence the zoo will expand further. The animals looked contented and well cared for.

Viewing the animals - we were able to view animals from a wheelchair quite well, most fences and hedges around the enclosures were low enough to do that. There are a couple of viewing platforms which have staircase access.

Map and signage - all visitors are given a map on entry. Along with the signage it is easy to find your way around the zoo.

Sound - mainly people talking and the animal keepers going about their work. We didn't hear any animals calling, apart from the Love Birds.

Atmosphere - we visited the zoo on a hot summer day during the school summer holidays, but it wasn't too crowded. It had a relaxed atmosphere.

Cafe - the main cafe supplies a selection of hot and cold drinks and food. There is also an ice cream parlour. Most of the seating is outside, some of it under a roof.

Gift Shop - this is located in a chalet and has a ramp entrance. The shop is quite small and hs low light places.

Toilet - there is one toilet for people with disabilities. It is large enough to manouvre a wheelchair.
