Parking - there is no car park at the Hall. The nearest car park is Riverside car park about 100 meters away, which has several disabled parking bays.
Paths outside - paths are made of tarmac and are level and even. The surrounding pavements have lowered areas/slopes at junctions to allow ease of access for wheelchair uses when crossing roads.
Entrance area - the entrance door was automatic with push button facility to open. The entrance area opens up into the shop and cafe area.
Shop - it is easy to manouvre around the shop and the items are easy to view from the wheelchair level.
Cafe - fairly big place, with good space for wheelchairs between tables. It has a good selection of hot and cold food and drinks. No vegan options though.
Access in the Hall - the hall is on two floors. There is wheelchair access on the ground floor only. The upper floor is accessed by several staircases. There is no elevatortthe first floor . There are several accessible rooms on the ground floor. This includes the old hall, the pantry, the lodge area and the kitchen. To enter the kitchen there are 2 small steps.
Upstairs - there are several rooms to view on this floor, however access to a couple of rooms may be challenging. For example, there is a bedroom with a small staircase to enter it.
Signage - there is directional signage and signs naming each room and explaining the original use of the room. During our trip we did not see boards which outlined the history of the hall.
Toilets - the toilet is in the basement. There is a stairlift, so wheelchairs can access toilets. The assistance of staff is required to operate it. There is a well equiped disabled toilet. It is a bit small, but still possible to turn the wheelchair around in it.
Staff - the staff were helpful and informative.
